A solid wooden folding chess set with classic chess pieces and a European stained board. The pattern on the chess board has been created with a combination of wood burning and staining. The set has a really nice weight to it and feels tactile to hold in the hands. A classic Polish design that is not too ornate. The pieces are fashioned in a basic Staunton style and are nicely weighted. Superb value for money for a set that's been made in Europe.

A really competitive priced Chess set to learn this wonderful game. The large sized Chess board and crafted pieces make this Chess set an ideal starter set. The Chess set is well made, easy to open, close and store your Chess pieces. The Chess board has a nice solid surface when opened to play. My girlfriend and her 9 year old daughter have very much enjoyed the new challenges that Chess has brought. Along side PS3's, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS's it's easy to forget traditional games. Chess definitely has it's place. Our brains have been pulsing, discussion about our next move has been heated, and we have had a few giggles when all seems lost but the next move has turned the game.
