A large chess board with inlaid squares. This board is a veneer type with each square inlaid from a separate piece of wood. There is alpha numeric notation on the board and green felt protectors on the base. The board has squares measuring 48mm which is just under 2 inches. A heavy chess board that is solid and robust, expect to get years if not decades of use from it. Suitable for use with European No.5 size pieces, or standard pieces up to 3.5 inches in height.

I am delighted with this product. It is beautifully made, has a lovely texture and colours, feels nice and is easy to see,( plus the contrast of using a black and white pieces.) I find the alphanumeric marking very helpful. It is an excellent board.
