The Antipodean series Staunton chessmen in rosewood are a unique take on the classic Staunton design. Beautifully designed with contrasting pieces of the opposite colour decorating each side. The knight is a particularly special design, not overly ornate or carved but extremely elegant and sporting a friendly facial expression and uniform mane. These superb examples have been turned from graded boxwood and rosewood. Each piece has been expertly polished, triple weighted and felted on the base.
