The Down Head series represents our entry level Staunton chess pieces. These lovely chess pieces are single weighted and generously felted on their bases. They are all 'one piece' carvings using a design that is not only great to look at but equally practical to play chess with. These pieces have been fashioned from ebonised Boxwood and boxwood. These chess pieces represent superb value for money. They are crafted and finished in the same factory as some of the worlds finest chess men.
These chess men will sit perfectly on any of our 13 to 15 inch chess boards. The same design of chess pieces are also available from us in larger sizes of 3 inches and 3.25 inches.
