At 3.25 inches high these Staunton chess men represent the tallest of our down head range. Crafted from selected boxwood and Golden Rosewood this set is of remarkable quality and detail for the price. All of the pieces are of 'one piece' construction and are single weighted with generous felting on their bases. Despite their modest price these pieces are crafted and finished to an excellent standard. Each piece has been hand polished to a medium gloss finish which is attractive and very enduring. These pieces have been designed with chess playing in mind and they will happily withstand many years of use. The natural finish will age beautifully in years to come, a sign of the excellent quality hard woods that have been used to make them.
This series is also available in smaller sizes of 3.00 inches and 2.5 inches.
