The French Knight series Staunton chessmen represent superb value for money. The quality of finish and attention to detail on these solid wood chessmen is far beyond what you expect from such a modestly priced set of chess pieces. Each piece has been expertly turned from solid boxwood. The black pieces have been 'ebonised' a very convincing process that gives them the look of real ebony chessmen. Each piece is weighted and felted on it's base. A 3.5 inch king height means they are ideal for chess boards from 18 to 20 inches.
