These solid Red Sandalwood chessmen are fine examples of superlative intricate wood carving. The design is modeled upon the lotus flower with influences from Eastern cultures. The use of exotic Red Sandalwood combined with the equally outlandish carved construction makes these pieces distinctive and very memorable.
Although these pieces have a small King's base diameter of 1.2 inches, their height requires a larger square size. We recommend chess boards with square sizes of 1.8 inches or above, 18 inches and beyond.
