Crafted from clean graded boxwood and black ebony wood and weighted to create just the right amount of balance. The uniformity among the pieces is superb, all four of the knights supplied are incredibly closely matched, each one having been carved by the same human hands. The level of detail on the knights is also fantastic, with plenty of classic vintage character.
The amazing quality of the finish on the chessmen has been achieved by a lengthy polishing process and has resulted in the most amazing natural sheen to the chessmen.
