Carved from a solid block of exotic rosewood, the 4.25 inch king in this luxury series is one of the finest chess pieces we stock here at the Regency Chess Company. The imperious size brings with it a weightiness that feels brilliant to play with, an attribute shared by all of the Stretford Knight Chessmen matched perfectly here with our luxury Spanish made board constructed from wooden veneers of graded black anegre, maple and palisander rosewood. The chess pieces reflect beautifully in the high gloss finish.

The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
