Rich brown tones combined with deep black and light maple really make this chess set combination stand out from the crowd. Our Winchester Luxury Staunton Style Chess Pieces in graded sheesham wood are matched with the high gloss Palisander Rosewood and Black Anegre Board.

The slightly reddish dark tones of the rosewood border are echoed in the browns of the sheesham pieces, which in turn contrast nicely with the jet black anegre squares. The quality high gloss lacquer reflects the pieces beautifully, creating something that can easily complement both contemporary and traditional interiors.

The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
