Broadbase Club Walnut Chess Set

The Broadbase Club chess set features beautifully finished ebonised Staunton chessmen with a wonderful walnut and maple chess board at just over 19 inches. This set includes a fabric carry bag for the chess pieces. The chessmen are made in small quantities by hand and feature hand carved knights that have a distinctive looking mane and poised and attentive ears. They are extra weighted and carefully balanced so each piece is a pleasure to play with.

The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
