Product Description

A chess set for a lifetime. The broad base solid ebony and boxwood chessmen are classically Staunton in design, large, heavy and beautifully hand carved and hand turned. They are polished using only natural waxes and polishes and have additional weighting added to their bases. They are substantial at four inches in height for the king. They are beautifully complimented by the tournament specification mahogany and Maple chess board at almost 22 inches in width. To finish off we have included a superb solid sheesham chess piece case that has a hinged lid & ONE LARGE COMPARTMENT. Outstanding value that doesn't cut back on quality and fine craftsmanship.

Product Reviews

"This is my first good chess set and I'm really stoked with it. The pieces look the business and feel great in your hands. I love the sound they make when you tap them gently together. Good hardwood just feels totally different to cheaper woods. The board had some minor blemishes around the edges, but it would be churlish to complain at this price and quality. From what I've seen of other places that sell chess pieces on the net, these guys are hard to beat for real quality at an affordable price. I can't wait to see how the wood ages (but I'll probably have to) I will almost definitely deal with this company again."
