Product Description

  • Traditionally Staunton.
  • Hand turned and carved boxwood.
  • Ebonised finish.
  • 4 inch (95 mm) king.
  • Weighted and felted.
  • Perfect for an 19 inch (48 cm) board.

Perhaps our most traditional Staunton set of wooden chess pieces, the Conquest Series chessmen match perfectly with black and white chess boards, while also complementing the lighter mahogany boards in the Regency Chess Collection. Each chess piece is hand turned then expertly carved to create this excellent set of traditional chess pieces. At 4 inches (10.16 cm), the king in this set fits on any chess board of 19 inches (45 cm) and above. Along with the king, all the pieces are weighted and have a base layer of felt to ensure the wood is protected. The darker pieces undergo an ebonising process that seeps deep into the hardwood, giving it a professional finish, while also further protecting the wood. As a result players can expect to see this classic set of Staunton chess pieces last for many years.
At Regency Chess we sell vast quantities of these Conquest Chess Pieces, often as part of the Conquest Series Black and Mahogany Chess Set.
