A lovely 16.75 board crafted in Spain from walnut and maple with a billiard cloth base that doubles as the hinge.

The ebonised border on this board 'sets off' ebonised chessmen beautifully and the 1.9 inch squares allows it to accommodate slightly larger pieces than a normal 16 inch board would allow.

This chess board has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
