High quality Black Anegre and Maple.

Ideal for a king height of 3.75 inches.

New and exclusive to the Regency Chess Company, this Luxury chess board has a high gloss finish and is constructed from wooden veneers of graded black anegre and Maple wood. Suitable for accompanying with chess piece king heights of 3.75 inches in Ebony, Rosewood or Sheesham wood.

This chess board has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.

"I’m not a fan of gloss finish chess boards but this was for a 15 year old and thus entirely his choice. He can do the polishing after every match. I have to say that the photos of the standalone board absolutely don’t do it justice. Look elsewhere on the site and you’ll find it as part of a set. The photos there show off the gloss far more effectively and accurately. It’s quite compelling to look at and play on."
