As a confirmed buyer of above said set, these lines are not about the quality of the pieces, they are well made and will no doubt age beautifully given time and continual handling of pieces and will gradually be stained deeper with the natural oil present in your hands. The photos are better looking than the actual pieces, as I was expecting something a bit more slim-line. Its fair to say that I am slightly disappointed in them as they are very chunky and make a board with 45mm squares very crowded looking. I am not a big fan of the Staunton sets, thus my reason for buying a pre Staunton style.
