The Stretford Knight Luxury Rosewood Chess Set

I have had the Stratford set for several months now and can now confirm that it was the right choice. All the pieces and beautifully carved and have a good weight to them. The ‘black’ pieces are made from a dark brown would which I prefer rather than black. The board is nicely made and each square accommodates all the pieces with a couple of millimetres of boarder (at least with the King and Queen). The chess set has proven popular with friends several of whom have now got back into playing having not done so for years. I also have a 14 inch folding travel chess set also from Regency and this is also made to a very high standard.
