First off the lovely smooth clean quality finished cabinet hat brought me the memory of childhood when I was first introduced to chess... but this one is way better and more classy with rounded corners, eye pleasing squares and precise hinges unfolding to even full board. The insert holding pieces arranged is another bonus.
Secondly the nicely cut pieces with blacks holding wood shades are surely above standard. Only reason for 4 stars is tiny occasional glue excess in ridges and couple of pieces with glue stain underneath - but thanks to supplier (Regency Chess) they were replaced.
Highly recommended folding set if you want big but still manageable size.
