This beautiful chess set combines the amazing Isle of Lewis Chessmen with the more diminutive mahagony chess board from Spain. The official Lewis chessmen have been a huge seller over the years and we're delighted that to have a mid sized version in our range. The larger version is also available as stand alone chess pieces or as a set.

Made in England, these chessmen have been developed by experts and crafted from real stone composite to an excellent standard. There is no better set of Lewis chessmen to own.

This smaller version allows you to own a set of Official Isle of Lewis chessmen and accommodate them on a more modest sized chess board. At just under sizteen inches, this set is the perfect size and won't take up too much room if you decide to leave it out. If you prefer to put it away for safe keeping then we have also added a lovely wenge coloured wooden box from Greece to complete this unique and lovely set.

Please note that when the chessmen are placed in the box it is normal and intentional for them to lay down on top of each other. They are NOT intended to stand up inside the box.

The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
