An extremely detailed and impressive chess set that combines our Sheffield Knight Rosewood Chessmen with our classic Deluxe Walnut Chess Board. Sets with this high level of intricate carving are usually accompanied by a much higher price tag. The level of detail and finish on the pieces is stunning and this set is sure to turn heads when displayed at home.

The design of the pieces is loosely based on Staunton but departs from convention in many areas to add higher levels of ornate detail. The result is a beautiful set that is nicely proportioned, looks stunning and feels extremely satisfying in the hands. The set includes a hand made sheesham wood storage box that is lined with soft felt.

Please note that when the chessmen are placed in the box it is normal and intentional for them to lay down on top of each other. They are NOT intended to stand up inside the box.

The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
