Product Description

Beautifully constructed large solid Sheesham (Golden Rosewood) chess piece case suitable for chess pieces up to 4½ inches in height. Sheesham wood is an deluxe, exotic hardwood with a very mesmerising patterning of the wood, but is extremely strong and hard wearing. This makes it perfect for keeping your chess pieces safe for many years. The sliding lid is also constructed from solid Sheesham and has a clever magnetic fixing that keeps the lid tightly closed. The inside of the case is lined with plush deep burgundy fabric which provides great protection for your precious chessmen. Chess Pieces Not Included

"Good quality product but for that price I would expect something really outstanding. The velvet inner liner had some scratch marks so not perfect. The wood lid feels a bit on the light side and the magnet to keep it in place should be stronger since it can easily open with a slight tilt of the box and shake. Also the box itself could be just a tad taller in order to fit a 3.75 inch king standing which is not the case and slightly annoying. The wood smells lovely though but overall I find the product a bit overpriced. Also would be good to have some information about the provenience of the exotic wood and its sustainable credentials."
