Product Description

Beautifully constructed solid wood chess piece case suitable for chess pieces up to 3 inches in height. This is a luxurious, exotic hardwood with a very seductive deep grain and is extremely strong and hard wearing. This makes it perfect for keeping your chess pieces safe for many years. The sliding lid has a clever magnetic fixing that keeps the lid tightly closed. The inside of the case is lined with plush deep burgundy fabric which provides great protection for your precious chessmen. Chess Pieces Not Included

Product Reviews

"I strongly believe that the storage medium should be of similar quality to the chess pieces. I purchased the 15.75" German knight chess set from the Official Staunton store, and after searching around for storage boxes, this is the one I liked best. Regency provide excellent service all around: the delivery was prompt, the packaging pretty exceptional and the quality of the product did not disappoint. It is exactly as it looks in the photo - a deep, solid hardwood with a beautiful grain pattern. My King is slightly bigger than 3" so it did not fit standing upright, but the velvet-smoothness of the inner material provides sufficient protection to all the pieces even when lying on top of one another. I would recommend a much bigger box if you're looking to store all of your pieces upright."
