Recently I bought a replica set of the "Charlemagne" Chessmen. These needed a board with squares of 50mm playing space, and an overall size of just under 18" (to fit on my side table!). This board ticked both boxes. The quality is excellent. The finish feels like glass and the graining of the woods is very handsome. Delivery was within 48 hours as promised and I consider this board excellent value for money.
