These luxury backgammon counters are made from Galalith, which is a traditional synthetic plastic made by combining milk casein and formaldehyde. Its name is derived from the Greek words 'gala' (milk) and 'lithos' (stone), thus a form of milk is used in the process. This gives the finish a really luxurious semi-opaque look with a sublime depth of colour. This particular set is ivory and a warm grass green.
