Simplicity on a chessboard can be sobering in a game of such complex dimensions, which is why the Metropolis Series Chess Pieces are a favorite here at Regency Chess. Each individual hand turned piece is made from solid brass, with the darker pieces then carefully plated in nickel. The Metropolis Series Chess Pieces own a modern, minimalistic personality that commands attention immediately. They are, decoratively speaking, extraordinary. Thanks to a well-weighted design and slender framing these pieces are also fantastic to play with. Every one of these lean pieces has a protective pad on the bottom, made from vibrant red felt.
The king’s base diameter is slightly less than 1 inch and commands a board size of at least 17 inches (43 cm).
